Our Mission:

Grit Equine Assisted Therapy is a non-profit (501c3) that provides equine therapy, Telehealth therapy, and in person therapy for individuals with various mental and physical abilities. Our mission is to make therapeutic intervention accessible to all.

Who We Are

We are animal lovers who believe that making a connection to trained pets is beneficial to our overall health. We use equine assisted therapy, also known as equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) to engage you and/or your child into a environment that promotes interactions and experiences that aid in cognitive development and stress relief.

EAAT has shown promising results in helping individuals improve their cognitive function. The interaction between humans and horses in a controlled therapeutic setting can stimulate various cognitive processes. Engaging in activities like grooming, riding, or simply being in the presence of horses can enhance attention, memory, and problem-solving skills. The gentle movements of the horse can also promote sensory integration, strengthen coordination, and improve overall cognitive processing. Equine assisted therapy offers a unique and effective approach to promote cognitive growth, helping individuals develop vital skills necessary for daily functioning and improved quality of life.
